My 100th blog post / Walking Journey from Plaza Singapura to Funan IT Mall / Lego Movie

This is my 100th blog post!! OMG! I never thought that I will persist in writing blogs for so long. I really want to thank everyone who had or has been reading my blog.

THANKS SO MUCH, EVERYONE!!

I will continue to try my best to write all my journeys in my lifetime. =D

Last weekend, I did a long walk with my boyfriend. We ate high tea at Fruits Paradise in Plaza Singapura at about 4pm.

After which, we went to Daiso for some daily stuff and had dinner at the food court (6th floor in Plaza Singapura) before we continued our walking journey. We walked to pass by Clarke Quay and reached Liang Court. My boyfriend brought out his camera and was shooting the night shots. He actually wanted to shoot the sunset at Esplanade. However, due to the F1 racing event, we decided not to go as it will be crowded over there. We went to Kinokuniya at Liang Court for some stationery. Then, we continued on to Funan IT Mall. We had some coffee at tcc over at Funan IT Mall. Finally, we walked to City Hall station and was on our way home at 10.15pm.

It had been a really long and tiring walk with my heavy bag (teaching tuition from morning to afternnon) but we seldom had such walks with just the 2 of us for the past 6 years. Hence, I'm really happy!! After 6 years had past, we finally become more serious and there are more chats for the both of us (both of us being Otakus.. Lol..).   Hope we last to the end of the Earth. ^_^

The next day, we watched the Lego Movie.

The show was really hilarious!! It's a MUST watch!! I really find it amazing that the whole movie is full of Lego. How to make the stationary Lego parts move is the most awesome part. I feel that a lot of effort is used to make this movie. ^_^ The story line was great too!

面白いクイズ！(Interesting quiz!) ／日本人のペンパル！(Japanese Penpals!)

日本語クラスであるクラスメイトが先生に下のクイズを質問した。

(My classmate asked my Japanese teacher in Japanese class about a quiz as stated below.)

「神様とドラゴンが戦っています。神様は一部だけ傷がない。その部分はどれですか。
Ａ：頭、Ｂ：胸、Ｃ：腰、Ｄ：足」

(God and Dragon is fighting. God has a part that has no wounds. Which part is it?
A: Head, B: Chest, C: Waist, D: Leg)

先生は答えが正しいけど、理由が間違った。

(My teacher got the answer right but the reason is wrong.)

答え：Ｃ：腰、なぜなら、神様が残した部分は腰です。じゃ、「神残し」と「神の腰」の発音は同じでしょ。だから、腰です。

(Answer: C: Waist. The reason is that the part which was "nokoshi - left behind" is "koshi - waist". "Kami - God, Nokoshi - left behind" has the same pronunciation as "Kami no Koshi - God's waist".)

面白いだろう。 (Interesting, isn't it? Lol.)


先月、日本語の学校で、「日本人のペンパルのクラブ」のパンフが見ると、面白いと思って、さっそく申し込んだ。昨日、日本から四枚の手紙をもらった！嬉しかった！

(Last month, at my Japanese school, after seeing a pamplet saying "Japanese Penpals Club", thinking that that was interesting, I immediately went to join. Yesterday, I received 4 letters from Japan. So happy!!)

早く返事をして、友達になれるならいいな！(I will rely fast, if can become friends, that will be good!)

ArtSpace Cafe / Escape Game! / Mind Cafe / Laksania / Tokyo Hands

I'm glad that I had fun last weekend as I was really down these days with all the things going on. Well.. Here's my adventurous journey~~~

I went out with 7 friends last weekend. We went to ArtSpace Cafe at Istana Park. 

This cafe is not bad, although food is not really a lot to choose from, the view from the cafe is pretty good. This cafe has a place for people to paint and draw. I heard that professional painters will go over to give some comments to people who did their painting and drawing over there. Quite interesting. Thanks to one of my friend winning a $150 voucher from a contest, so that we can enjoy eating over there. We had sandwiches and pasta over there.

After this early dinner, we went to Escape Game at The Cathay. 8 of us went for the Video Games Escape Game. The game was really interesting. The staff first asked for 4 people who are the most honest, and they will get to go in first. I am honest but I find it weird saying it confidently and I really don't want to go into the game without knowing what would happen first. So, I was one of the last 4. Lol. The last 4 of us, were given a key and we were supposed to locked the first 4 of us in a room. I really had cold sweat hearing that as I feel that the other 4 are clever and might know that we were locking them up. I guessed I was thinking too much. =x 

Anyway, we went through Mario World, Pac-Man and Minesweeper by solving the codes. These games are really old huh. Lol. We had a time limit of 45 mins and we cleared 11 mins before the limit. Lol. It's really amazing how we can clear it as we had totally no idea what's going on throughout the game. We were so desperate to clear the game that we forgotten the 2 hints which we could get from the staff. Lol. Apparently, the 4 people who went into the game first were also desperately trying to solve the game, didn't realised that the rest of the 4 people were trying to lock them up. Lol. Although one of them did think that maybe locking them up so that we can clear the game. So clever!!

After this game, we went to Mind Cafe to play the game "Bang!". Lol.

This game is about having 3 different roles, Sheriff, Vice-Sheriff, Outlaw and Renegade. The people who got Sheriff card had to show everyone that he/she is the Sheriff. The rest of the people belongs to which role, nobody knows and we had to guess. Haha. Vice-Sheriff had to help the Sheriff, Renegade needs to kill all the outlaws before killing Sheriff, Outlaw and Sheriff can kill anybody with no order. =x Everybody has a certain number of lives depending on the card. Sheriff has an extra life. The number of cards in our hands is the number of lives we have. We can only shoot the person on the left or right of us unless we have a weapon which has a longer range. After being shoot by a person, we can draw a card which allows us to miss a shot, heal ourselves etc. Other than all these, each of us has a character card which is shown to everyone. Character cards include such as able to shoot any number of bullets, able to take any card from the discard pile etc. Interesting, isn't it? Lol. Our most funniest game of that day is that the Vice-Sheriff got killed by the Sheriff. LOL!!!

The next day, I had Laksa hotpot for dinner with a friend at Laksania, Jem. It's only about $10 for each of us and able to quite full as well. Cool! And.. Laksania is a halal restaraunt, so any Malay friends, feel free to try it. 

After dinner, we went to Tokyo Hands at Westgate.

Tokyo Hands is a very popular shop in Japan for their quirky products. I am quite disappointed that the shop is not big enough to have more variety. Hmm, but I'm glad to have stepped into the shop for at least 1 time. I guessed after going to the Tokyo Hands in Tokyo, Ginza, last year, which stretched across 7 levels, of course I am disappointed with the Singapore branch. As it can't be helped, so I should lower my expectations. Lol. The prices for the things in Tokyo Hands are indeed expensive too. I think I really rather to go to the Japan's branch. =x

Lol. That's all for my eventful weekend. =D

アニメ・僕らはみんな河合荘 (Anime: Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou)

そのアニメはとても面白い。色んな変な人が住んでいる。皆の性格はとても異なる。このタイトルに初めて聞いたとき、「かわいそう」って、皆はびんぼのこと？ハハ。

(This anime is interesting. A lot of different weird people living together. Everyone's personality is different. The first time when I heard of this title, "Kawaisou", can mean "seems pitiful" in English, I was thinking everyone in the show is poor? Haha.)

ある彼女は恥ずかしいことが嫌いで、表せることは苦手で、いつも人々に勘違いをされました。私にちょっと似ているかも。私も人前で話すことは嫌いです。恥ずかしいから。恥ずかしくて、恥ずかしくて、逃げたいです。ロマンチックな行動も表したくない。例えば、キスとか。他の人の目にはロマンチックな行動が腹立たしいと思うかもしれない。私の彼氏は逆の考え方があるけど。このアニメの彼はとても優しかった。彼女がすきですから、彼女の物事を考えると、行動する。ときどき、すっかりやりすぎることもある。初恋の感じがするな。ちょっと懐かしい。ハハ。

(There is this girl which don't like embarrassing things, bad at expressing herself, and always got mistaken by others. She might be similar to me in some way. I hate talking in the public. Because it's embarrassing. So embarrassing that I wanted to run away. I also don't like to express romantic actions. For example, kisses. In other people's eyes, they might think that this kind of romantic action is irritating. My boyfriend has the opposite thinking though. This guy in this anime is really nice. Because he likes the girl, he acts after thinking for the girl. Although, at times,there are things which he is completely overdoing it. I can feel that kind of first love. A little nostalgic for me. Haha.)

「STGCC」は「Singapore Toys, Games, Comics Convention」というシンガポールでの展覧会。その展覧会はおもちゃとか、ゲームとか、漫画を売っています。色んなきれい服を着たコスプレイヤーたちも来る。いろいろの写真を取れる！^_^

(STGCC stands for "Singapore Toys, Games, Comics Convention" which is an exhibition held in Singapore. The exhibition as the name says; sells toys, games and comics. Cosplayers wearing various beautiful costumes are coming too. Able to take many photos! ^_^)
