「君のばか」と「君はばか」の区別、「浮かぶ」と「浮く」の区別~~ (Difference betweem [kimi no baka] & [kimi wa baka], [ukabu] & [uku])

ある友達は私にその質問を聞いたんです。

(I was asked a particular question by a friend.)

普通は「君はばか」だけど、どうしてアニメに「君のばか」と言ったんですか。

(Usually we say "Kimi wa baka" to say that the person is stupid. But then, how come in anime, it appears to be "Kimi no Baka"? [no] is usually used to describe belonging, for example "Watashi no hon" (watashi-I,mine,my,me) (hon-book) to say "my book".)

アニメがたくさん見ますけど、それは知りませんでした。そして、昨日のクラスで先生に伺いました。なぜかというと、「の」は言われた人がばかと強調しています。

(I watched lots of anime, but I didn't realize this, so I didn't know the answer. Yesterday, I asked my teacher during Japanese lesson. My teacher says that [no] is also used to emphasize. Therefore, "Kimi no Baka" is to emphasize that the person is really stupid. Lol.)

例えば:「ばらがない花屋」は「ばらのない花屋」になること。

(Example: [Bara ga nai Hanaya] becomes [Bara no nai Hanaya])
*(Bara-rose), (~ga nai-don't have), (Hanaya-flower shop)*

花屋はばらがないなんて、変ですね。だから、強調のために、「の」を使いました。

(A flower shop that does not have roses is weird, right? Therefore, [no] is used instead to emphasize that the flower shop does not have roses.)

面白いでしょう!(笑)(Interesting, isn't it? Hahaha..)

もう一つ、「浮かぶ」と「浮く」の区別はなんでしょうか。インタネットで調べると、ある人がそれを説明しました。リンクはhttp://questionbox.jp.msn.com/qa979068.html

(Another thing, while studying the N2 vocabulary list, I came across 2 words, [ukabu-float] and [uku-float]. Isn't it the same meaning?? After searching for their differences in the Internet, one person explained its differences. The link is http://questionbox.jp.msn.com/qa979068.html.)

「浮かぶ」は「水面に存在する」という状態を言うこと多く、
「浮く」は「水の下の方から上の方へ移動する」という動作を言うことが多い。

([ukabu] is often used to say the state that it is floating on surface of the water.
[uku] is often used to say the movement of floating from the bottom of the water to the surface of the water.)

それは正解かどうかと分かりませんので、先生に伺いました。

(Hmm... Can I believe in this explanation? I decided to ask my teacher to confirm.)

「浮かぶ」は動詞だけど、状態を表せる動詞です。
[浮く」は動作を表しする動詞です。

(Even though [ukabu] is a verb of saying something is floating, but it is used to expressed the state of floating.Whereas, [uku] is expressing the movement of floating.)

日本語は難しいですね。(笑)でも、負けない!頑張ります!!

(Japanese is quite difficult, huh. Haha. But I'm not gonna give up!! I will work hard!!)

(Anyway, I finished the drawing which I had attached the original drawing previously. I'm a little disappointed that I had drawn it wrongly as there are alot of miscalculations. For example, the person that should be in front, I drawn it till the person is at the back. OMG!! I think you all could tell the difference. But, I think this bad drawing had helped me to improve my drawing a little as I need to think of how to draw some parts which are not in the original drawing. Hope you all enjoy finding the differences!! LOL!)

I discovered some parts which are not complete, so I edit it again and going to upload it again. LOL!

Manga - Shugo Chara (漫画・しゅごチャラ)

Lol. It's been a while when I had finished watching Shugo Chara's anime which spanned across 3 seasons.

The anime is about kids having dreams (what they want to be) in the form of eggs. When the egg hatched, a Guardian character (spirit) will appear. Each Guardian character will have a certain personality or ability. With the Guardian character, the person is able to transformed into someone whom they want to be and able to perform magic. Each child mostly has only 1 Guardian character, but some characters in the story has more than 1 Guardian character. The main female character, Amu Hinamori, has 4 Guardian characters.

Today, I suddenly thinking of wanting to know the end of Shugo Chara. From what I recall, Amu is not dating with anyone even when the anime had finished airing. Maybe, I remembered it wrongly? Lol. In the end, I went to read the manga. I read the final chapter and was shocked to find out the result.

My First Work using Wacom tablet!!

I created my first work using Clip Studio Paint and my Wacom Intuous tablet!! It was quite difficult to use and need to be abit used to it. But, I still tried and managed a new drawing with colouring. Clip Studio Paint is really cool! Tried a number of interesting stuffs like Paintbrush, Pencil, different layers, creating alot of different colour schemes. So cool!!! Now.. now.. enjoy my work below! ^_- The drawing is done based on the comments from my boyfriend. Lol.

Can you guess which anime character is this? Hehehe...

Anyway, yesterday, I went to eat at Ssikkek Korean BBQ at Tampines1 with my boyfriend, his friend and my friend. Actually, I prefer the branch at United Square. United Square has Ginseng soup but the branch at Tampines does not have it. =( Then, we went to Starbucks. Starbucks as usual, always full of people. =( We managed to find seats but we need to split, so in the end, I sit with my friend, my boyfriend sit with his friend, tables are a distance away.

Yesterday, I also went to Popular Bookstore to buy assessment books for my student. Next year, he will be Primary 5. Time really flies. I taught him when he was K2, now he is going to be Primary 5 student already. Lol. Anyway, saw lots of parents buying books for their children and the assessment books are limited. I couldn't find the assessment books I want. No choice. Have to get alternative books. =( I guess this is a bad time to get assessment books. Lol. But I really want to start teaching Primary 5 syllabus, so that I will not be too late and I can teach at a slower pace.

Looking through the Primary 5 syllabus... OMG!! Science -> Cell Diagram (Chroloplasts, Nucleus, Cell Membrane...)?? In Primary 5? I remember doing it in Secondary. Lol. Mathematics -> Using calculator to calculate addition of fractions.. Did I do that in Primary? Not that I know of. Lol. Poor kids nowadays..

Hope that I can teach him well for this Primary 5 and soon PSLE.. Gonna get stressed!!

「以降」と「以後」の違うところ (The difference between [ikou] & [igo])

先生に聞きました。まず、「以降」の前に言葉を付けなければなりません。「以後」は言葉を付けるのは必要がありません。

(Asked my teacher about the difference between [ikou - after this, from now on] and [ikou - thereafter, since]. Firstly, [ikou] must have a word to attach in front of it, in order to use it. Whereas, [igo] can be used without any word attaching to it. )

例えば。。 (Examples..)

明治時代以降~~~
以後、~~~

それに、「以降」は「それから、何が続きます」のことを表せます。「以後」はあるイベントのポイントから、何が起こったことを表せます。

(Also, [ikou] is used to express things that happen continuously after a certain event. [igo] is used to express things that happen after the point of an event.)

例えば。。(Examples..)

明治時代以降、日本の産業は急速に発展した。
(Ever since the Meiji Era, Japan started to advance quickly.)

以後、気をつけてください。
(From now on, please take care of yourself.)

面白いブログを見つけた!そして。。作った歌の登場!(Interesting blogs discovered! And... My new song!)

以前言ったことだが、ある優しい日本人を知り合ったのことは覚えますか。私に日本のブログを紹介しました。そのおかげで、読むことが増えていきます。リンクはhttp://jipangnet.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-603.htmlです。良かったら、見てくださいね。

(I mentioned before that I came to know a nice Japanese, do you all remember? Anyway, she introduced me a Japanese blog at  http://jipangnet.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-603.html . If you like, please take a look.)

今日は「以後」と「以降」の違うところを探している間、面白い話題を見つけました。アニメ.ナルトからの習った言葉。その筆者は言葉を中国語に翻訳されました。ブログのリンクはhttp://www.pkusky.com/html/view_1446.htmです。そのサイトは日本についてほかの面白い話題もあります。全部の翻訳は中国語ですけど。

(Today, while I was searching for [igo-after this, from now on] and [ikou-thereafter,since]'s difference, I came across an interesting title. Words learnt from the Anime-Naruto. The author of translated some of the famous lines from Naruto into Chinese. The blog link is http://www.pkusky.com/html/view_1446.htm. That link also have some other links which have some interesting topics. All Japanese are translated into Chinese.)

ちょっと恥ずかしいです。「潮風のハーモニー」(アニメーTARI TARIから) という歌を聞いた時、涼しい風を感じて、皆さんと集まっていることろにいて、楽しい時間を過ごして、日本語のクラスが思い出した。そして、その曲の旋律で (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhto9Gmuw4w) 歌詞を作ってみようと考えています。作った歌詞はいいかどうか分かりませんが、よかったら、読んでください。それでは、いきます!

(Hmm.. I'm feeling a little embarrassed now. After hearing the song [Shiokaze no Harmony] from Anime-Tari Tari, I imagined and felt the cool breeze where all the people gathered together, enjoying the times together, reminds me of when I am having Japanese lesson. So, following the melody (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhto9Gmuw4w) of the song, I decided to create my own lyrics. 新しい言葉を勉強しましょう!(Let's study new words!)

やっと、新しいN2の言葉をはじめます。二週間前に百の言葉を勉強しました。2年後、N2の試験を受けるつもりですから、今準備したほうがいいと思っています。

(Finally, I am able to start leaning new JLPT N2 vocabulary words. Had been stuck with 100 words for the past 2 weeks. Because I want to take N2 exam in 2 years time, I thought that I should start memorizing the words now.)

案外 あんがい (unexpectedly)
暗記 あんき                     (memorize)
安定                                                     (stability, steadiness)
あんまり                                                  (too~, so~, awful, terrible)
言[い]出す いいだす                  (speak out, propose)

以下 いか                        (less than)
以外 いがい                     (except, besides)
意外 いがい                     (unexpected)
いかが                                                    (what; how about)
息 いき                        (breath)
意義 いぎ                        (meaning, importance)
行き いき/ゆき               (way to ~)
生き生き いきいき                   (fresh, lively, bright)
勢い いきおい                  (force, vigor, influence)
いきなり                                               (suddenly)
育児 いくじ                      (childcare, nursing)

そう言えば、クラスメイトは先週の日曜日にJLPTの試験を受けた。二人とも、無理だと言いました。何がいいことを言い出すのかな。でも、成績をまだ発表していませんから、合格するようにと願っています。

(By the way, my classmates took N2 exam just last Sunday. Both of them said that it's too difficult. I wonder what should I say to comfort them. But, as the results has not been out yet, I hope they passed their exams.)

My boyfriend bought me a drawing tablet!! So happy!!

I can finally do some drawings without paper!! What should I draw next? Characters from Magi? Kyoukai no Kanata? or Zetsuen no Tempest? OMG! So many things that I wanna draw. XD
